Elle Ronis is known as one of the top orchidists in the United States. She was invited to the largest orchid show in the world in Colombia, South America as a US representative of the American Orchid Society. In 2005 she was awarded Grand Champion of the New York Orchid Show at Rockefeller Center. It was the largest orchid show in the US competing with over 10,000 entries both Amateur and professional. She also holds the record for the most awards in one day at American Orchid Society judging. 9 awards. She has lectured extensively for the American Orchid Society. Elle does her growing indoors in her basement under lights. She has over 5000 plants.
